"Play is the work of a child"

Oh, How I wish play was also the work of an adult and how desperately I wish there was more time to play, explore, discover as I observe, in amazement and awe, the way my children play. One of the most engaging independent playtimes in our home is that involving our various dollhouses. We have 3, and even though everyone knows mama's dollhouse is off limits, we seem to break that rule often and with joyful abandon.

When children play, whole new worlds are created and explored. There is no limit to one's imagination and such imagination is awakened and expanded in open play. We have spent many hours engrossed in our dollhouses, tending to housework, dialoguing family drama, finding and making the ordinary so wonderfully extraordinary. I've watched with stifled laughter at my children's imitation of home life and pretend parenthood as their tiny fingers flutter about each room. It's brought us hours of entertainment and delight and we hope our curated line of minis can bring a sprinkle of joy to your family as well.

Our Inspiration: Hygge 

My goal is to curate a line of miniature goodies for your dollhouse that embodies "hygge", which is a quality of coziness and comfortable conviviality that engenders a feeling of contentment or well-being. Hygge requires consciousness, a certain slowness, and the ability to not just be present but to revel in it. We hope our minis make your dollhouse homey and familiar. We are always sourcing and crafting minis that will spark joy and bring charm to your miniature world and endless imaginary fun for your family.

An important note about safety!

Please note that our minis have not been safety tested. Miniatures are by nature very small and may be choking hazards for young children. We don’t recommend our minis for little ones younger than 4 years old unless there is diligent adult supervision. Some of our minis are made of fragile/breakable material like glass, wood, and or porcelain and gentle handling is required. Broken pieces may result in injuries to little hands.
